On May 14, 2024, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahimzoda Sulton, held a friendly meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Tajikistan Mohammad Said Sarwar.
During the meeting, cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan in the economic and investment spheres were discussed, including the activities of Pakistani companies in Tajikistan, the implementation of priority projects in the fields of energy, agriculture, transport, industry, invitation of Pakistani companies to Tajikistan to participate in investment forums and conferences, holding the next investment forum, and also considered opportunities and investment privileges of Tajikistan, etc.
During the meeting, the implementation of the CASA-1000 project was assessed as an important factor in strengthening bilateral relations and readiness was expressed to strengthen further cooperation in these areas.
