On May 25, 2026, the 23rd meeting of the Advisory Council on the Support and Development of Small Businesses in the CIS Countries was held virtually, chaired by the Council’s Chairman, Khurshedai Kodir, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan. The event was attended by Council members from the Republic of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, as well as representatives of the Corporation for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and the Skolkovo Foundation of the Russian Federation, who also delivered remarks.
It was noted that small and medium-sized enterprises in the CIS countries make a significant contribution to job creation, infrastructure development, the adaptation of the economy to market changes, the promotion of healthy competition, and the protection of the socioeconomic interests of small business owners.
During the Council meeting, participants also discussed the progress made in implementing the decisions of the 22nd Council meeting, measures to support small and medium-sized businesses in the creative and tourism sectors of the CIS, the date, venue, and draft agenda for the 24th Council meeting, as well as other relevant issues.
