Participation of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Central Asian Investment Forum with the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Persian Gulf.

   On May 29-30 of this year, the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan under the leadership of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Rahimzoda Sulton and in the presence of the Minister of Industry and New Technologies Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, the leadership of the ministries of economic development and trade, energy and water resources and domestic entrepreneurs  at the Investment Forum of Central Asian Countries and the Gulf Cooperation Council, which took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

   In the forum, the delegation of the country presented the investment opportunities of the Republic and the implementation of consistent actions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon in the direction of improving the investment climate and supporting the private sector, and in the 4th and 5th sessions on the topics «Infrastructure and development» and «Clean and renewable energy» participated and spoke on the integration of innovative technologies, infrastructure development, economic impact of infrastructure investments, interdisciplinary cooperation and future prospects, efficient use of water resources and acceleration of renewable energy projects, etc.

   At the same time, in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, the country’s delegation met with the Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia Khalid Al-Falih, the First Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and the management of «ACWA POWER» and «EXIM BANK of Saudi Arabia», where the current state of cooperation was discussed, Holding of the next meeting of the intergovernmental commission of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia on economic, trade,  investment and technical and cultural issues, financing of priority projects of the country, such as the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power station, the construction of electricity and solar power plants, etc.

   Also, the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan signed an agreement on cooperation between the Ministry and the company «FAS Energy».
