On November 29, 2022, a meeting was held in Tokyo between the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Qodirzoda Sadi, and the Deputy Minister of Finance of Japan Mr. Masato Kanda.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues related to trade and economic cooperation, including attracting more direct investment from Japan to the economy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the implementation of priority projects in the areas of green economy, hydropower, renewable energy, mining and processing of minerals, and as well as raw material processing.
During the meeting, the favorable environment and wide investment opportunities of the Republic of Tajikistan were presented, as well as information was provided on the constructive measures of the Government of the country to reform the national economy and government programs, and strategies for developing entrepreneurship, attracting more foreign investment, creating joint companies and supporting small and medium business.
In general, the meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, and the parties discussed and exchanged views on the above areas.
