Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Economic Cooperation

On December 24, 2022, in the city of Dushanbe led by the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management Qodirzoda Sadi Sanginmurod and the Minister of Investments of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid al-Falih was held the 3-rd Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on trade, economic, technical, cultural and investment cooperation.

The Commission Meeting was attended by representatives of ministries and agencies of economic entities of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

During the Commission Meeting important issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including areas of economy and trade, investment, industry, transport, education and science, agriculture, migration, energy and water resources, healthcare, culture, sports and tourism.

During the Commission Meeting, co-chairs provided useful recommendations to the state authorities and economic entities of the two countries on strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation and creating favorable conditions for increasing the trade turnover between the two countries.

The parties agreed on the issue of strengthening cooperation in the direction of attracting mutual investments, creating joint ventures and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation for the implementation of joint investment projects.

As a result of meeting, the Protocol of the 3-rd Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia on economic cooperation was signed.
