Meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management with the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation

On February 4, 2023, the Committee hosted a meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management Sadi Kodirzoda with the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Reshetnikov Maxim Gennadievich, during which the development of cooperation in the field of investment in the country's economy was discussed.

          It was noted that over the past 10 years, $ 1.6 billion of Russian investments have been attracted to the economy of Tajikistan, of which $850 million are direct investments. In particular, more than $26 million of Russian investments were attracted in 2022, which does not meet the needs of both sides.

          The parties also discussed issues related to attracting direct investment through the creation of a Tajik-Russian Investment Fund and through the creation of joint industrial enterprises. Moreover, the parties exchanged information on the progress of the Tajik-Russian Investment Forum scheduled for March 2, 2023.

          The meeting took place in an atmosphere of good and mutual understanding.
