On the eve of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Tajikistan, on April 4, 2023, the Tajik-Azerbaijani Investment Forum was held in Dushanbe.
The purpose of this Forum is to launch and strengthen cooperation on the use of investment opportunities in the fields of industry, energy, tourism, transport and export development, as well as to create a favorable basis for strengthening relations.
The investor forum was opened by the Chairman of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Kadirzoda Saadi, and Mr. Sahib Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During the speech, it was noted that in recent years, thanks to the constructive initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, respected Ilham Aliyev, multifaceted cooperation between the two countries has reached a qualitatively new level, holding such measures to develop cooperation, economy and trade, increase export capacity, attract capital and import modern technologies and strengthen bilateral economic and investment cooperation.
The Forum was attended by over 200 participants from both sides, including heads and officials of ministries and departments, entrepreneurs and investors, as well as representatives of companies and enterprises in various fields of economic activity in Tajikistan and Azerbaijan.
Within the framework of the Forum, the participants were presented with investment opportunities in the field of tourism, industry, energy, services and other areas, as well as discussed joint cooperation projects.
At the same time, within the framework of this event, new documents on cooperation between the public and private sectors of the two countries were signed.
After the official part of the Forum, a bilateral meeting of entrepreneurs from Tajikistan and Azerbaijan "B2B" was held, at which business and cooperation issues between representatives of the private sector of the parties were discussed.
