Business dialogue between companies of Tajikistan and Korea

On June 19, 2023, the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan together with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Tajikistan organized the Business dialogue between companies of Tajikistan and Korea in Dushanbe.

The event began with opening remarks by the Chairman of the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management Kadirzoda Sadi Sanginmurod and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Tajikistan  Kwon Dongson.

At the event, by the top leaders of the ministries of industry and new technologies, energy and water resources, agriculture, Tourism Development Committee, the National Bank of Tajikistan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan, and the influential investment circles of Korea, were presented opportunities for cooperation in various economic sectors of two countries.

This Forum was attended by more than 150 participants from both sides, including leaders and representatives of state bodies, the following sectors of the economy such as industry, energy, agriculture, tourism, healthcare, information and communication technologies and services of the two countries.

The purpose of this forum is to familiarize Korean investors with the investment environment and opportunities of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as to expand trade relations, investments and the possibility of establishing direct cooperation between the private sector of the two countries, the creation of manufacturing and industrial enterprises through investments in the country.

After the end of the official part of the Forum, a bilateral meeting of entrepreneurs of the two countries in the B2B format took place, following which new cooperation documents were agreed and signed.

The participants of the Tajik-Korean Investment Forum highly appreciated the development of relations covering all areas of economic cooperation.
