      Tajikistan and the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation Entrepreneurs Forum

      On November 28, 2023, as part of the visit of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian Federation, Evgeniy Vladimirovich Kuyvashev, Tajikistan and the Sverdlovsk Region of the Russian FederationEntrepreneurs Forum was held in Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan. .
      The Forum started with the opening remarks of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Governor of the Sverdlovsk region of the Russian Federation, during which the participants were presented with opportunities and priority areas for cooperation.
      It was noted that the purpose of this Forum is to expand trade and investment cooperation by organizing a free dialogue between entrepreneurs and investors, and in this context to find new ways of working towards the creation of joint ventures.
      The Forum was attended by more than 100 representatives from both sides, including heads and officials of ministries and departments, entrepreneurs and investors, as well as representatives of companies and enterprises in various spheres of economic activity of Tajikistan and the Sverdlovsk region of the Russian Federation.
      It was noted that such events contribute to the development of interregional trade and economic cooperation, increase of export potential, attraction of capital and import of modern technologies, strengthening of bilateral economic and investment cooperation.
      The official part of the forum included the ceremony of signing new documents on cooperation in the field of industry and regional development.
      Also during the Forum, the heads of the Badahshon Autonomous Region and Sughd Regiom met with the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Oblast, during which the parties agreed to strengthen interregional cooperation.
      The Forum participants highly appreciated the organization of the event and concluded that they would continue to hold such meetings of entrepreneurs on a regular basis.
