Meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Tajikistan

On March 14 of this year, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahimzoda Sulton, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Tajikistan, Toshihiro Aiki.
During the meeting the state of cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan in the economic and investment spheres was considered and discussed, including cooperation of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Japan International Business and Investment Cooperation Agency, as well as attracting direct investment, implementation of the state investment projects, in particular the provision of drinking water to the population, the holding of the Tajik-Japanese investment forum, etc. The parties expressed their readiness to strengthen further cooperation.
State Institution «Creation and Development of Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan» under the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management in cooperation with the Japanese Agency for International Cooperation within the framework of the projects «Business incubator in Tajikistan» and «Support of entrepreneurship with small grants» for the development of the enterprise sector regularly conducts trainings and finances a number of investment projects offered by entrepreneurs through these projects.
It was noted that the investment conference between Tajikistan and Japan, which is planned to be held in May this year, will strengthen cooperation in the above areas.
