Сonference «Presentation of the Republic of Tajikistan in Italy»

On April 24, as part of the official visit of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon to the Italian Republic, an investment forum of Tajikistan and Italy entitled «Representation of the Republic of Tajikistan in Italy» was held in Rome.

The event was attended by more than 100 companies from both sides, heads and officials of ministries and government departments, entrepreneurs, investors, representatives of companies and enterprises from various sectors of the economy of Tajikistan and Italy. The forum discussed the possibility of cooperation between business circles and investors of the two countries in the fields of industry, infrastructure, agriculture, energy, services, information technology and other priority areas.

In particular, Tajikistan's investment opportunities and benefits were presented by Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management Sulton Rahimzoda, the country's industrial opportunities were presented by Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sherali Kabir and energy opportunities were presented by Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma.

Also, the leadership of the «WeBuild» and «Carrera» companies provided detailed information about the experience and activities of Italian companies in Tajikistan.

Within the framework of the forum, in bilateral meetings of entrepreneurs (B2B) from both sides documents worth more than 150 million US dollars were signed.
