Investment Forum of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan

On August 21, 2024 as part of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Tajikistan by the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan the Tajik-Kazakh Investment Forum was held in Dushanbe.

The forum was attended by more than 200 people, including high-ranking representatives of the governments of the two countries, representatives of business structures, companies and enterprises of various spheres of economic activity of both countries in the fields of industry, infrastructure, communications, agriculture, and services.

The Forum began with an introductory speech by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Kholikzod Khokim Hikmatullo and the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, respected Sklyar Roman Vasilyevich.

 It was noted that due to the creative initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellency Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, his excellency Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, multifaceted cooperation between the two states has reached a qualitatively new level, holding such events contributing to the development of trade and economic cooperation, increasing export potential, attracting investments import modern technologies and strengthen bilateral economic and investment cooperation has become a tradition between the parties.

 Investment cooperation in agriculture, digital technologies, finance and industry was proposed on separate panels "Mutual investments - New areas of cooperation" and "Innovations and digital technologies - a source of investment opportunities".

At the end of the official part of the forum, bilateral meetings of entrepreneurs of the two countries took place in the "(B2B)" format, as a result of which new documents on cooperation were signed.
