Сeremonial meeting dedicated to the "Day of Entrepreneurs" and forum "Startupstan"

The State Committee on Investments and State Property Management with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on October 12-13, 2024 with the participation of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Khaliqzoda Khokim, the leadership of relevant ministries and agencies, development partners, entrepreneurship associations, domestic and foreign experts and more than 1000 entrepreneurs and investors held a ceremonial meeting and forum "Startupstan" dedicated to the "Day of Entrepreneurs" in the "Kokhi Vahdat".

At the ceremonial meeting, the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan congratulated all entrepreneurs and investors on the “Day of Entrepreneurs”, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and noted that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan aims to increase transparency and further improve the environment for business and investment, constantly tries to support the initiatives of entrepreneurs and carries out significant reforms in the development of the sector.

At the same time, the leadership of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management, the Head of the Coordination Council of Development Partners, the Resident Representative of the World Bank Group in Tajikistan, the leadership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan of the Republic of Tajikistan made a congratulatory speech to entrepreneurs and investors.

Following the official part, 50 domestic businessmen and investors were awarded prizes from the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management for fruitful activities, valuable contribution to the development of the country's economy, improvement and construction work, organization of production enterprises and creation of jobs.

After the official part, the work of the Forum "Startupstan" was held in a separate panel on the topic "Development of the startup ecosystem". In its work, issues of attracting capital to startups, development of online business in Tajikistan, etc. were discussed. At the end the documents on cooperation between domestic companies and international venture funds were signed.
