Within the framework of the working visit of the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan with the purpose of expansion and strengthening of bilateral cooperation of the Republic of Tajikistan with the countries of South-East Asia, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulton Rahimzoda and Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir met with the Minister of Finance of Malaysia Mr. Datuk Seri Amir Ҳamza Azizan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of issues related to trade and economic cooperation, including attraction of direct investments of Malaysia in the economy of the Republic of Tajikistan for realization of priority projects in the spheres of green economy, hydropower, renewable energy, mining and processing of minerals, as well as processing of raw materials.
During the meeting, investment opportunities of the Republic of Tajikistan were presented, as well as information on constructive measures of the Government of the country on reforming the national economy, state programs and strategies for the development of entrepreneurship, attraction of foreign investments, establishment of joint companies and support of small and medium-sized businesses.
In general, the meeting was held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, and the parties discussed and exchanged views on the above-mentioned areas.
