On November 18, 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the Investment Forum of Tajikistan and Malaysia was held with participation of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management Sultan Rahimzoda, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sherali Kabir, representatives of other ministries and departments of Tajikistan, as well as heads and representatives of government agencies, business and investment circles of Malaysia.
At this Forum, investment opportunities and potential of the Republic of Tajikistan were presented by the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management Sulton Rakhimzoda.
Also within the Forum during the panel discussion on “Tajikistan and Malaysia: Business Network Forum” Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sherali Kabir, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management Sulton Rahimzoda and First Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Firuz Sharifzoda provided specific answers to the questions of representatives of business and investment circles of Malaysia regarding the investment climate and opportunities of Tajikistan.
During the Forum, the parties noted that multifaceted cooperation between the two countries has reached a qualitatively new level, and the holding of such events contributes to the development of trade and economic cooperation, the creation of joint ventures, increasing export potential, attracting investment, import of modern technologies, as well as strengthening bilateral economic and investment cooperation.
The Forum participants highly appreciated the development of bilateral relations and the level of the event and agreed that business and investment circles of Malaysia will visit the Republic of Tajikistan and in cooperation with the relevant structures of Tajikistan will consider issues related to the implementation of investment activities.
In general, the event was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere.
