On November 19, 2024, as part of the working visit of the country's delegation to expand and strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan with the countries of Southeast Asia, was held a meeting between the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management Sulton Rahimzoda, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir and the representatives of other ministries and agencies of the country with the former Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Mahathir bin Mohammed.
The meeting discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Malaysia in areas of mutual interest, strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation, and attracting the business sector of this country to implement joint cooperation projects.
Malaysia's experience in improving the investment environment and attracting global companies and corporations to operate in this country was highly appreciated.
It should be noted that during the reign of former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir bin Muhammad, Malaysia has made significant progress and has become one of the fastest growing countries in the world community and has evolved from a raw materials exporting country into a developed country that produces and exports high-tech products.
During the meeting, the parties also had a fruitful discussion on other issues of interest.
