Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, represented the country at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM) Congress 2025, which officially opened today in Abu Dhabi. With more than 20,000 participants from over 175 countries, the AIM Congress is one of the world’s leading platforms for shaping the future of global investment.
As a speaker in the high-level panel titled “The Future of Globalization: Balancing Local and Global Dynamics – Global Trade Effect on FDI Flows,” Mr. Rahimzoda shared Tajikistan’s perspective on current global trends in trade and foreign investment.
He emphasized that Tajikistan has maintained a stable trade and investment policy, remaining less integrated into global trade flows, and thus more insulated from recent global disruptions.
On a separate panel addressing FDI trends in emerging markets, he emphasized that developing countries continue to play a vital role in global investment flows — provided they offer policy stability, infrastructure development, and openness to trade.
Mr. Rahimzoda’s participation at AIM Congress 2025 reflects Tajikistan’s growing engagement on the international stage and its efforts to attract quality investment by aligning with global trends while safeguarding national development interests.
