On May 20, 2025, in the city of Dushanbe, the Tajikistan – Saudi Arabia Business and Investment Forum was held, initiated by the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce, with the participation of state and private sector representatives from both countries.
The Chairman of the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulton Rahimzoda during his introductory speech, emphasized the importance of this forum for exchanging ideas and experiences, discussing existing opportunities, and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, drawing the participants' attention to the effective use of the country's investment opportunities.
The President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Hasan Al-Huwaizi, noted that effective links between the business and investment circles of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, considering the existing capacities and opportunities, could provide a solid foundation for promoting economic and investment projects between the two countries.
During the event, the parties expressed their interest in expanding cooperation in the areas of developing a "green economy," energy, digitalization and innovation, mining, metallurgy, chemistry, production of construction materials, textiles, food production, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, transportation, and tourism.
At the same time, during the Forum, bilateral meetings between state and private sector representatives were held in the format of B2G and B2B.
At the conclusion of the Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce.
