Holding of the International Investment Forum “Khatlon Invest-2025”

On November 11 of this year, the International Investment Forum “Khatlon Invest-2025” was held in the city of Bokhtar, with the participation of representatives of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, state authorities, the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, as well as domestic and foreign business and investment communities.

The purpose of this Forum is to present the investment opportunities of Khatlon region, attract foreign investment, especially direct investment into the region’s economic sectors, strengthen interregional cooperation, enhance the export potential of the region, and expand economic and trade collaboration with development partners.

Following the official opening ceremony, the Forum continued its work in three thematic sessions: “Investment for sustainable regional development: partnership with the private sector and turning Khatlon into a modern economic hub”; “Digitalization of public services”; “From land to market: developing the value chain in agriculture, export, and processing of local products in Khatlon region.”

Within the framework of the Forum, an exhibition showcasing agricultural and industrial products, as well as traditional handicrafts of the Khatlon region, was organized.

Forum participants, business and investment representatives, and guests also visited the Free Economic Zone “Dangara,” industrial enterprises of Bokhtar and Norak cities, and toured the region’s notable sites.

As a result of meetings and agreements reached during the Forum, 30 cooperation documents totaling more than 900 million somoni were signed between business and investment entities.
