On February 18, a working meeting of the official delegations of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran was held at the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan with the participation of a wide range of entrepreneurs and investors from both countries.
At the opening session, the Chairman of the Committee, Sulton Rahimzoda, and Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Sayeed Muhammad Atobak delivered remarks. They emphasized that Tajikistan and Iran have significant potential for cooperation in processing industries, energy, mining, agriculture, infrastructure, and bilateral trade.
The parties thoroughly discussed attracting foreign direct investment to Tajikistan’s economy, establishing joint ventures, implementing manufacturing projects using modern technologies, and expanding export-import operations.
During the meeting, Dilshod Jurazoda, Director General of the State Unitary Enterprise “Tojinvest” under the Committee, presented Tajikistan’s investment opportunities and priority projects.
In addition, bilateral B2B meetings between business and investment circles of the two countries were held within the framework of the event.
