On March 24, the Second Interregional Forum of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan was held in the city of Jizzakh, Republic of Uzbekistan, under the co-chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sulaymon Ziyozoda, and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khojaev.
The forum was also attended by heads of ministries and agencies, regional authorities, and representatives of the business communities of both countries.
During the forum, the investment opportunities and resources of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan were presented, and the regional potential of both countries for the implementation of joint investment projects was discussed, along with the strengthening of business ties between entrepreneurial circles.
Following the official part of the forum, bilateral meetings were held in a B2B format, during which business representatives discussed the implementation of joint initiatives.
As a result of the forum, a number of cooperation agreements were signed between business circles of the two countries, covering sectors such as manufacturing, textiles, food industry, agro-industrial sector, construction materials, and others.
The holding of this forum marked an important step in the development of trade, economic, and investment cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, creating a favorable foundation for expanding ties and implementing joint projects.
