Today, the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management held a solemn event dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the National Unity Day and to the adoption by the United Nations of the Republic of Tajikistan's new initiative entitled "International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations, 2027–2036."
During the event, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management Sulton Rahimzoda, delivered a congratulatory address, noting that National Unity Day represents one of the most significant and historic achievements in the modern history of Tajik statehood, symbolizing peace, stability, mutual understanding, solidarity, and national unity. He emphasized that it was through the consistent efforts, strong political will, selfless dedication, and outstanding statesmanship of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, that the country was saved from the threat of disintegration and achieved lasting peace, national unity, and social harmony.
Today, Tajikistan is widely recognized as a peace-loving nation, an initiator and active promoter of important international initiatives, while its prestige and standing within the international community continue to grow steadily.
It was further noted that the adoption by the United Nations General Assembly on 25 June of the resolution entitled "International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations, 2027–2036," proposed by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, serves as compelling evidence of the international recognition of Tajikistan's peace-oriented policy and global initiatives. The adoption of the resolution has become a source of great pride, honor, and satisfaction for the people of Tajikistan.
This historic initiative once again reaffirmed the leading role of the Republic of Tajikistan in advancing the global peace agenda, strengthening international peace and security, and promoting constructive cooperation among nations.
At a time when millions of people across various regions of the world continue to face the consequences of armed conflicts, terrorism, extremism, and other contemporary threats, this new initiative of the Leader of the Nation reflects Tajikistan's high sense of international responsibility, its peace-oriented foreign policy, and its constructive role as a country actively contributing to global peace and security. It also demonstrates the historic mission of the Tajik nation as a peace-building people committed to unity and the promotion of dialogue among civilizations.
The event continued with a presentation by the distinguished stateswoman and public figure Rafiqa Musoeva, who spoke about the historical significance of National Unity Day, the role of the Tajik peace process in strengthening national statehood, and the outstanding contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to restoring peace and stability in the country. She emphasized that preserving and strengthening national unity is the sacred duty of every citizen of Tajikistan, noting that only in an atmosphere of peace and stability can sustainable economic development, investment attraction, entrepreneurship, and improvements in the living standards of the population be ensured.
At the conclusion of the event, the participants, guided by a profound sense of national pride and civic responsibility, reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the constructive policies of the country's top leadership, safeguarding and strengthening the sacred values of State Independence and National Unity, and making a meaningful contribution to the socio-economic development, prosperity, and continued progress of the Republic of Tajikistan.
