      Tajikistan–Mongolia Business Forum Held

      21 July 2026

Today, as part of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to Mongolia, the Tajikistan–Mongolia Business Forum was held in Ulaanbaatar. The event was jointly organized by the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Forum brought together senior officials and representatives of government ministries and agencies, financial institutions, business communities, and leading companies from both countries. The participants discussed the expansion of economic and trade cooperation, investment attraction, entrepreneurship development, the establishment of joint ventures, increased exports and imports, and the implementation of joint projects.

In his opening remarks, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulton Rahimzoda noted that the Tajikistan–Mongolia Business Forum represented an important step towards strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries. He emphasized that the Forum provided a favourable platform for developing direct ties between the business communities, attracting investment, exchanging experience, and launching new investment projects.

It was noted that Tajikistan, with its open economic policy, favourable investment climate, and abundant natural resources, offers extensive opportunities for cooperation in energy, industry, mining and mineral processing, agriculture, food production, textiles, logistics, tourism, and the green economy.

Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia Tsagaankhuugiin Iderbat stated that Mongolia attaches particular importance to expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Tajikistan and stands ready to strengthen collaboration in hydropower, agriculture, livestock farming, light industry, product processing, trade, transport, and other areas of mutual interest.

During the Forum, representatives of government institutions and the private sectors of both countries delivered presentations on the economic potential, investment opportunities, and trade advantages of Tajikistan and Mongolia. The participants also exchanged views on ways to expand cooperation, attract foreign direct investment, establish joint production facilities, promote interregional cooperation, and strengthen direct business-to-business ties.

The Forum also featured bilateral B2B meetings, during which representatives of Tajik and Mongolian companies discussed opportunities for establishing direct cooperation, promoting exports and imports, implementing investment projects, and creating joint ventures.

At the conclusion of the Forum, the business communities of the two countries signed several cooperation documents aimed at further developing economic and trade relations, expanding business cooperation, and facilitating the implementation of joint investment projects.
