On June 3, 2025, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, held a meeting with Dr. Andreas Schneider, Director of the Regional Office for Central Asia of the KfW Development Bank, and Mr. Petar Gjorgjiev, Country Manager for Central Asia of the KfW Development Bank.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current status of investment projects being implemented in Tajikistan with the financial support of KfW, and discussed prospects for future cooperation. The German side provided a comprehensive overview of ongoing initiatives and reaffirmed its commitment to long-term and sustainable partnership with Tajikistan.
Mr. Rahimzoda presented the investment policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, highlighting the country’s favorable investment climate, legislative reforms, and priority sectors for foreign investment. Particular attention was given to opportunities in the development of green hydropower, the conduct of feasibility studies, and the attraction of investments in strategically important sectors of the national economy.
The German side expressed strong interest in potential cooperation in the fields of industry and the extraction and processing of raw materials, and noted its readiness to explore new investment initiatives in these areas.
The meeting concluded with both sides expressing a shared interest in expanding and strengthening bilateral investment cooperation.
