Conference entitled: “Reforms in the direction of entrepreneurship support”

In order to develop the private sector by improving the investment climate and state support for business activities with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, on November 30, 2023, head a conference at the State Interprise “National Library of Tajikistan” entitled “Reforms in the direction of entrepreneurship support."This event began with an opening speech by the leadership of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management, followed by presentations by Malikzodi Narzullo - Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Holger Wiefel - Head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Tajikistan, Gulbahor Naziri - Deputy Chairman National Bank of Tajikistan, Lenny Montiel – Head of the UN Development Program Office in Tajikistan and Tursunzoda Azim – First Deputy Head of the Customs Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.The event was attended by more than 100 representatives of ministries and departments, development partners, business associations, the private sector, national and regional experts, as well as media representatives.It was noted that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, along with other areas, considers the sphere of entrepreneurship as the main, prior, economic and social direction, and its correct and effective implementation requires constructive and far-sighted actions every day.At the same time, during the event there was a presentation of the “Program of State Support and Development of the Private Sector for 2023 – 2027”, reports of the reforms in the field of inspection of the activities of business entities and the direction of the permitting and licensing system and on support for youth entrepreneurship.At the end of the event, there was an exchange of views, as well as questions and answers, between participants in order to improve the business and investment climate.
