Today, the Tajikistan–Korea Strategic Investment Forum was held in Seoul on the sidelines of the official visit of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to the Republic of Korea.
The Forum brought together more than 250 participants, including representatives of government institutions, business and investment communities, leading companies, and experts from the two countries.
During the Forum, Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulton Rahimzoda delivered a presentation on the country’s investment opportunities, the ongoing reforms aimed at improving the business and investment climate, and the prospects for expanding economic and investment cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea.
It was emphasised that the Republic of Tajikistan attaches particular importance to attracting foreign investment, introducing modern technologies, establishing joint ventures, processing domestic raw materials into finished products, increasing export capacity, and creating new jobs.
The participants were presented with Tajikistan’s investment opportunities and priority projects in industry and mineral processing, hydropower and green energy production, digital technologies and artificial intelligence, agriculture and food processing, education, tourism, and other promising sectors.
Particular attention was paid to strengthening cooperation in establishing joint ventures, introducing advanced Korean technologies and equipment, training highly qualified specialists, expanding direct business ties, and implementing investment projects of strategic importance.
At the conclusion of the Forum, a number of cooperation documents were signed, providing a favourable foundation for strengthening trade and economic ties, attracting investment and modern technologies, and implementing joint projects.
