770 April 18, 2019 in the hotel "Hyatt Regency" held a bilateral meeting of the leadership of ministries, agencies, entrepreneurs and investors in Tajikistan and France.
The bilateral meeting was begun by Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Hamralizoda and the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of France on foreign trade, tourism and Francophony Mr. Jean-Baptiste Lemoine.
It was noted that for the period 2007-2018 from the French Republic more than 86.6 million US dollars were invested in the economy of the Republic of Tajikistan, of which 67.4 million US dollars are direct investments.
From SUE “Tajinvest” a presentation about investment opportunities of the Republic of Tajikistan was presented.
The event was attended by representatives of companies and enterprises from various sectors of the economy and trade of Tajikistan and France, including industrial, infrastructure, transport , communications, agriculture, health, financial sector, tourism services, managers and responsible persons of the Ministries of Economic Development and Trade, Industry and new technologies , Foreign affairs, energy and water resources, agriculture, the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management, Tax Committee, Tourism Development Committee, National Bank of Tajikistan, Customs Service, Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection, Export Agency, Main department of Geology, OAHK “Barki Tojik” Chamber of Commerce and Industry, State Unitary Enterprise "Tajik Aluminum Company", SUE "Tajik air Navigation", SUE "Tajinvest", SUE "Food" and other state-owned enterprises, as well as representatives of ministries, departments and French entrepreneurs and investors.
Then there was a bilateral meeting of entrepreneurs of Tajikistan and France Business to Business (B2B), in which issues of trade and cooperation in the interests of the private sector were discussed.
The participants in the meeting of entrepreneurs from Tajikistan and France highly appreciated the development of bilateral relations, which cover all areas of economic cooperation.
The parties regularly express readiness to hold such meetings of entrepreneurs and promote the development of mutually beneficial trade and economic relations, a number of key initiatives in such promising sectors as hydropower, creation of enterprises for processing agricultural products, export of dried fruits, fresh vegetables, development of infrastructure and development of the tourism sector, effective use of opportunities of free economic zones, exploitation of large precious stones, non-ferrous metals, strategic resources owls and other raw materials in Tajikistan.
