1 089 In accordance with the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, September 23-27, 2019, economic delegation of Tajikistan headed by the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Hamralizoda visited Republic of France and Swiss Confederation.
Within the framework of the visit, September 23-24, 2019, the economic delegation of Tajikistan visited Savoie, the Alpine region of France. The delegation of Tajikistan in the city of Chambery met with representatives of the mountain cluster of France, including companies such as Savoie “Mont Blanc”, “MND Group”, “POMA”, “GEODE”, “ADC Architectes”, “Agence Alps”. In the Osua commune representatives of Tajikistan are familiarized with the economic opportunities and economic models of the mentioned commune, as well as the tourist and sports facilities and historical and cultural sites.
On September 25, 2019 in Paris under the chairing of Farrukh Hamralizoda – Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management and Christophe Fontaine - Chairman of the International Business Association of France (MEDEF) has been held a meeting of the Tajik-French Business Council. During the meeting members of Tajikistan delegation introduced the investment and business climate, tourism opportunities, sectors and priority investment projects, taxation, banking and credit, legislation requirements on environmental sector.
It worth to mention that on the meeting representatives of French Economics and Finance Ministry, French Agency for Development, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, companies such as “Schiver”, “Thales International”, “Trartebel Ingineering”, “BRL Ingenerie”, “EDF”, “Fives” and “IDF Radiocom Services” participated and made speeches and expressed their willingness for strengthening of cooperation.
Also, in the framework of visit bilateral meetings of economic delegation of Tajikistan with representatives of French companies and enterprises has been held and the current situation and future ways of enhancing trade, economic and investment cooperation in various sectors were discussed. In the second half of the day on September 25, 2019 in Paris the meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Hamralizoda and the delegation of the "FIVES" and "THALES" companies took place.
Likewise on the same day, Farrukh Hamralizadeh met with Clara Sheremitinski, Deputy Secretary of State for Economic and Financial Affairs of France to discuss the issues of strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, investment, renewable energy, tourism and achievement of sustainable development goals were discussed.
Afterwards, the meeting of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan with the Director of the European Department of the Ministry Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Frederic Mondolini took place.On September 26, the economic delegation of the country visited the city of Zurich, Swiss Confederation.
During the visit, delegation of country hold meetings with the Executive Director of Swiss Joint Chamber of Commerce and CIS countries and Georgia - Dorit Salis, Director of Emerging Markets and Special Tourism Projects (Switzerland Tourism) - Federico Somaruga and members of the Board of Directors and Head of Export Development Agency, Martin Gmur held talks.
Within the framework of bilateral meetings of economic delegation of Tajikistan with representatives of French and Swiss Confederation companies with the interested investment cycle have been provided with the printout and electronic information package on the priority areas of investment in Tajikistan, privileges which are provided by the legislation, attractive investment projects, video clips on investment and tourism opportunities.
