On 26 November of this year, in the city of Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sulton Rahimzoda, took part and delivered remarks at the round table on “Business and Investment Environment,” held on the margins of the Third European Union–Central Asia Economic Forum.
In his statement, Sulton Rahimzoda noted that the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is implementing important measures aimed at creating a favorable investment climate, developing the private sector, and advancing institutional reforms.
It was emphasized that the Republic of Tajikistan continues to take consistent steps to simplify permitting procedures, develop business support infrastructure, facilitate investor activity, and improve mechanisms for the legal protection of entrepreneurs, while foreign investment is considered one of the key drivers of sustainable economic development.
In this context, readiness was expressed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation with the European Union and other international organizations.
The round table also discussed issues related to the development of priority sectors, including manufacturing, energy, transport and logistics, tourism, digital technologies, as well as improving the regulatory framework and investor incentive mechanisms.
In conclusion, the Chairman of the Committee expressed confidence that the results of discussions and exchanges of views at this round table would contribute to the expansion of constructive partnerships, the implementation of important investment projects, and the strengthening of regional economic cooperation.
