On September 29, 2023, in the city of Dushanbe, within the framework of the instructions of the Founder of Peace and Harmony - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, on the implementation of measures to ensure the development of various spheres and more attraction of investments into the national economy, as well as diversification of investments, the Dushanbe International Investment Forum with the participation of more than 800 representatives from 40 countries was held.
To participate in the Forum, high-ranking guests, heads of organizations from foreign countries, international financial organizations and influential foreign investors visited the Republic of Tajikistan.
The Forum was organized in order to attract large investment organizations and companies to implement joint investment projects in priority sectors of the economy of the Republic of Tajikistan, including energy, banking, agriculture, industry, tourism, natural resources, artificial intelligence, construction and other sectors of interest.
In the plenary part of the Forum, a welcoming speech was heard from the Founder of Peace and Harmony - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency
Emomali Rahmon , and then the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the city of
Dushanbe, respected Rustami Emomali; Prime Minister
of the Republic of Tajikistan honorable Qohir Rasulzoda;
Prime Minister of Azerbaijan, honorable Ali Asadov; Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, honorable Marat Khusnullin; Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, honorable Galimzhan Koishibaev and the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, honorable Jamshid Kuchkarov .
After the plenary part, the work of the Forum continued in individual sectors on the topics of “Investment opportunities of the city of Dushanbe and the rapid industrialization of the country”, “Development of a green economy, digitalization and free economic zones of the Republic of Tajikistan”, “The role of the financial system in the development of entrepreneurship and attracting investments”, “ Tajikistan is a country of green energy, private sector participation in the energy industry”, “Investment opportunities in the field of agriculture, production and export of environmentally friendly agricultural products to international markets”, “Tajikistan is a tourist country, opportunities for industry development”, “Creation of transport and logistics centers”, “Investment opportunities in the field of healthcare, forecast for the development of the pharmaceutical industry and private medicine in Tajikistan” with the participation of heads of domestic and foreign government agencies, local and foreign entrepreneurs and investors.
The event includes a visit of foreign guests to industrial enterprises and historical and cultural places in the cities of Dushanbe, Tursunzade, Nurek and the Dangara distict.
Also, based on the results of the Forum, a number of documents are signed on cooperation on the creation of production enterprises between local and foreign government bodies, entrepreneurs and investors.
