The State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Financial Management Specialist within the preparation phase of the project “Startup Ecosystem for Economic Development”, financed through a Project Preparation Grant (GFPP).
The project aims to develop the startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Republic of Tajikistan in order to stimulate job creation and support economic growth.
As part of the project preparation, a Project Implementation Unit (PIU) is being established. To ensure proper financial management, transparency, and compliance with World Bank requirements, an experienced Financial Management Specialist is required.
The main responsibilities of the Specialist will include:
- Organization and maintenance of the project’s financial accounting system;
- Preparation of budgets and financial reports;
- Ensuring compliance with World Bank requirements;
- Preparation of withdrawal applications and financial reporting;
- Interaction with auditors and financial supervision missions;
- Establishment and maintenance of an effective internal financial control system.
We are seeking a candidate with higher education in economics or finance, at least 5 years of experience in financial management (preferably in World Bank or other internationally funded projects), as well as strong knowledge of national legislation and international financial institution requirements.
