On 24 June 2026, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Sulton Rahimzoda, participated in and addressed the Investment Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) entitled "25 Years of SCO: Together Towards Sustainable Peace, Development and Prosperity", held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.
In his address, Chairman Sulton Rahimzoda highlighted the pivotal role of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation as a key regional institution in strengthening economic and investment cooperation, developing mutual trade and expanding strategic partnerships among member states. He emphasised the importance of effectively leveraging existing opportunities to attract investment, develop infrastructure, implement joint industrial projects and strengthen ties between entrepreneurs and investors.
Forum participants were also presented with an overview of the investment opportunities and advantages of the Republic of Tajikistan, along with detailed information on ongoing economic reforms, improvements to the investment climate and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan's measures to support investors.
On the sidelines of the event, the Chairman held bilateral meetings with heads and representatives of economic and investment authorities of SCO member states, during which issues of strengthening economic cooperation, attracting foreign direct investment and implementing new joint projects in priority sectors of the economy were discussed.
