Investment Forum of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

On December 24, 2022, within the framework of the 3rd Meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on economic cooperation, the Investment Forum of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia was held in the building of the State Institution "National Library" with the participation of the Chairman of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management Qodirzoda Sadi Sanginmurod and Minister of Investment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid al-Falih.

Representatives of more than 200 companies and enterprises in various fields of economic activity in Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, including energy, construction, transport, logistics, agriculture, financial and banking, telecommunications, insurance and trade, as well as heads and representatives of government ministries and agencies took part in the Forum.

Within the framework of the Forum, the participants were presented with the investment space and opportunities of both countries in various fields.

It was noted that the expansion of trade relations between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia in recent years is the basis of the political will of the leaders of the two countries, the strengthening of cooperation within the framework of the intergovernmental commission and number of important events held during the period, high-level visits and investment forums of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia created favorable basis for the constructive dialogue and establishment of business relations between entrepreneurs of two countries.

Within the framework of the forum, bilateral meetings of entrepreneurs from both countries in the “Business to Business” format and the public and private sectors of both sides were held, issues of trade and investment were discussed.

As a result of the meetings, it is planned to sign documents on cooperation between business circles of two countries.

After the official part of the Forum, investors from Saudi Arabia were given the opportunity to visit the industrial enterprises of Dushanbe.
