On June 11, the Chairman of the State Committee on Investment and State Property Management of the Republic of Tajikistan Sulton Rahimzoda met with the delegation of foreign countries, including Susan Elliott is the Executive Director of the National Committee on Foreign Policy of the United States of America, former Ambassador of the United States of America to Tajikistan (2012-2015), Datuk Nur Jazlon Muhammad, Deputy of the Senate of the Malaysian Parliament, Basuki Hamiduljono, Minister of Public Affairs and Environment of Indonesia, and Barbara Pompili, Special Envoy of the President of France for Water Summit on the sidelines of the Third International Conference on the International Decade of Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028".
First of all, the guests highly appreciated the global initiatives of Tajikistan in the field of water and the holding of the Third International Conference on the International Decade of Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028" and expressed their readiness to strengthen further cooperation in this direction, especially the discussion of global water problems and found ways to solve it.
At the same time, taking into account the current of economic and investment cooperation of Tajikistan with these countries, investment opportunities and reforms implemented by the Government of the country in the direction of improving the investment environment were presented at the meetings, and for the effective use of existing capacities by inviting business circles to Tajikistan, holding investment forums and conferences, processing natural resources, financing of green energy projects, especially the Rogun HPS, establishment of joint ventures and solving other existing issues.
